도대체 악은 왜 존재하는걸까?

살면서 한 번 즈음 우리는

선하기만 하면 되는 이 세상에 

왜 못된 악이 생겨난 것인지 의아해 지고는 합니다. 

 

그 어느때 보다도 살기 좋은 세상에 태어난 것은 축복이라며

복에 겨운 소리를 한다고는 하지만요.

 

그렇다고 해서 언제 우리가 힘들지 않았던 순간이 있던가요?

누구나 살면서 조금씩은 고통을 함께하기 마련이니까요.

 

이럴때면 왜 하필 악이란 놈이 이 세상에 나타나서 살인을 일으키고 범죄에 노출되게 만들며 

사람 간에 이용을 하고 이용을 당하게 만드는 건지 

 

누군 질병으로 고통 받게 하시고 왜 누군 가난과 불행으로부터 벗어나지 못하게 하는 걸까요?

 

도통 형평성에 어긋나니 말이지요.

 

그때마다 지구 상에 모든 악이 사라져 버렸으면 좋겠다는 생각이 들고는 합니다. 

 

만약 전지전능한 신이 존재한다면, 어째서 세상에 악이 존재할 수 있는 것인지요?

 

수없이 반복되어 오던 본질적인 질문에 2000년 역사상 최고의 가톨릭 철학자로 평가 받는 

"토마스 아퀴나스"는 이렇게 대답하였습니다.

Why does evil even exist?
There comes a time in our lives when we wonder why
evil is created in a world
where all we have to do is be good.
They say we're blessed to have been born into 
a better world
than we've ever been in,
but when was the last time we weren't suffering?
We all share a little bit of pain in our lives.
At times like these, why does evil, of all
people, appear in this world
to kill people, to expose them to crime, 
to be used by other people,
to be used by others, to make
some suffer with disease, 
to keep others in poverty and misery?
It's not fair at all.
Every time that happens, I
wish all the evils on Earth would go away.
If there is an all-powerful God,
why is there evil in the world?
To the essential question that has been asked time and time again,
as one of the greatest Catholic philosophers of 2000 years,
in the<Thomas Aquinas> history of 2000 years, answered,
"We know what good is because there is evil."
You can only allow the presence of evil to be born out of evil.
good to allow evil to be born out of evil."
"human nature is truly imperfect and variable,
but it can also be controlled by reason and will."
'It's imperfect and changing' because
after all, it came from a perfect and unchanging being.
That's why we humans, even though we're bad at times,
but that doesn't mean that God and the
world itself aren't good."
